What's in a Name?

What's in a Name? All God's Names are Sacred and Holy. Does it really matter what we call the Nameless One? Onemight think so, if we listen to one of the great religions. We have murdered one another over these labels for The Holy One. In Arabic speaking countries, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Zoroastrians, and Others all name God, Allah. Rumi's Field Jalaluddin Rumi found a field beyond right and wrong. I asked God if I could build my house there? God's answer, "Nothing would please me more. Here's a hint, it exists above the distinctions and differences which divide us." God continued, "You must build on a foundation of Truth, and once built, allow all to enter." A Crisis of the Heart and Soul Holding us hostage to his demands, our President called immigration from the South a crisis of heart and soul. The commentators missed the real import. The speechwriters threw in the phrase because it sounded compassionate. Truth demands a closer look. For this phraseology was spoken by a man who has consistently shown himself ignorant of both heart and soul. Arguably, he is one who is used to getting his own way. Unfaired Against

Unfaired Against What to do when unfaired against? When falsely accused and convicted without the benefit of an adequate defense. No opportunity to cross-examine one's accuser. No public consideration of the facts. No way to appeal the verdict to a higher court. So, what to do? Protesting and complaining is a tempting path. No Argument

No Argument If you disagree with my point of view, you will get no argument from me. It's not that I think I am wrong and you are right, No, it is more like neither opinion matters the Truth. I have no need to convince, no reason to best you. Perhaps neither of us have grasped the truth, or perhaps you are right. Truth is indifferent to our opinions of it. Letting Go

Letting Go Teach us to remember and to Thy Grace surrender. Thy ways, so much higher than my ways. For years, I thought I must direct my path. Unknown to me, I blocked Thy Blessings, accepting less than I could be. But, now I know The Divine Lover. And Jesus is my friend. A Modern Psalm Oh, sing to Our God, a new song; Sing of the Unity of God's Love. Sing of Our Oneness, despite appearances. Your Love blesses the Just and unjust alike. New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve This is my 73d New Year's Eve. I will spend it at home with a friend. Chances are we will be asleep before midnight. This year promises more political chaos, continued moral degradation, likely financial crises, and little hope for the common folk. I cannot help but ask, "What's to celebrate?" God's Pruning God prunes those whom God Loves. So I asked God, "Why this capricious cutting?" There was silence. "Why, Oh Creator, why?" Still, no answer from The Almighty.
