Grey Dawn

It's a muted day, Of quiet light And muffled sound, Colours faded into grey With nothing bright Or striking to be found. Sotto voiced, the gull Welcomes the new morn Beneath a woollen sky Made mundane and dull By a shrouded dawn And, awakened, I Search vainly for a hint of rose But this morning...
