If someone said I’m Sorry

If someone said I’m Sorry If someone said, “I’m sorry.” Would you be too hurt and angry To move your Heart toward love? If someone said, “You hurt me.” Would you take the time together To find out where you’re One? If someone said, “I hate you!” Would you rise above their anger To see their deep... Part 1. I am dying...Getting to know me: letters to my children

I am dying. We all are and we don't much like thinking about it. The one thing I would change if I could about my past, is that I would maintain a better connection with my Children and their Mother. So in the time I have left in this Life, I want to share a bit more of who I have become and who I... Sign in to see full entry.

A Mystical release from smoking

I wanted to wait until I was sure it was true. The Tuesday before last, I smoked my last cigarette. I was at a sufi minister's retreat at a place called Heartsong, in the Ozark Mountains of NW Arkansas. Sitting allone in the woods, I rolled a smoke of organic American Spirit and lit up. But, the far greater blessing was that after I arrived home after two hours of aerobic activity, I did not WANT a cigarette and so... Sign in to see full entry.

I have to admit it's getting better

Yesterday I was able to go for LONG periods with no smoke just by saying no, not now. I am encouraged. I need to run my self programming lists more (see a previous post). That should help build the will and desire to quit. I am discovering that if it is only will that creates an action, inevitably,... Sign in to see full entry.

Still commited to quitting ... still smoking a bit

"So," I ask myself, "when is the 'cold turkey' day?" I smile knowing I have not yet reached the point where I really want to quit. I have had moments, but they still have not become the majority opinion. Working on more moments of 'sanity' where the benefits of quitting win the election. In the... Sign in to see full entry.
