Hello, West Indies! Ice Your Sinks! GWB-HAARP Hurricanes, Hate Melting Ice!

I'd totally ice the leading edge of the island, facing the hurricane. The storms won't be able gain footing on ice. Fight back against these GWB/HAARP fired storms with melting ice.
