I either quit my job or got fired. Regardless, the feeling's mutual, and it's been a long time coming. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. ...And whether you like it or not, it effects EVERYONE. For my master's classes, I had to attend a seminar today on diversity. It was eye-opening for sure. One month into my first semester in the master's program and all is going smoothly. Still waiting on the financial aid to come in, as for some reason it just has to be difficult; aside from that, all is well. ...And suddenly I find myself home with a sore throat, cough, and a bit of a runny/stuffy nose. Seriously? Are you kidding me? For someone who's had nearly perfect health for so long, why now? There have been numerous openings for teachers, group leaders, and instructional assistants, and I've been sending out resumes and cover letters like wildfire, trying to grab something, anything, but not nothing. ...But for now the current one honestly blows. My boss has serious issues, and the past week, she's gotten worse. In the past week, we've had six spats, just three in the past three days. I put out ten resumes yesterday for about a dozen jobs, and within twenty-four hours, I scored an interview with one school! Last night I stayed up till almost 3 a.m. updating my resume and creating a cover letter. Now, they both look SPECTACULAR. Mission accomplished!
