There is a new Shopping Centre in Nicosia, Cyprus called the Shacolas Emporium Park, which has just recently opened. I visited there in December for Christmas presents. What Does It Have To Offer? I was curious about where my roots originated from, so I came to Cyprus for a holiday in 1985. My father, was born in Strovolos, Nicosia in 1939. He left his country before the war and at that time it had been twenty five years since he’d left. I was lucky, because my uncle Yannis, my father‘s brother, who lived in Nicosia was visiting England that year and so, I was able to go back with him for two weeks. This will make you all laugh! A 69 year old frail lady was jailed for 20 days in Nicosia yesterday for practicing sorcery. She pleaded not guilty to cheating a 34 year old man by telling him he had been cursed and she could cure him for £5,000. She had previously charged him £500. The court heard the plaintiff state that at one point, she told him to bring a pair of his underpants, an egg, a spoon, a plate and a cup.
