Does writing ever feel like cooking to you?

So here I am working on TODAY'S word count.

How many? One thousand, four hundred and twenty five, I do believe. I will have to check to be sure. The last day of this month, I'll be up to fifteen hundred and fifty words. Wow! A few minutes for more catch-up writing

and for lunch. These days, I am into hummus with veggies for scooping it up. And I am dipping back into my writing. Trying to catch up. Then to get back on schedule. It's morning

and I am working on yesterday again. It is very very hard to catch up when the word count is so high. Finding time to write. Finding time to do anything but survive.
