Winter River
Here is the river I live near, which did not used to flow just here, along the gravel trail. In fact, I could not see the river from the trail because there was a big field with trees in it. Now, you can see, the river comes right to the edge of the trail......and then some... The moment inspired a bit o'verse... The River winter-rushing cuts its way across the land in unaccustomed beds; seduces eyes with wonder at its breadth and force and undercuts the new bank where I stand at risk and do not...
