I love porches that allow one to be outside watching the sunrise and sunset. There's that special peace we acquire. It's almost like meditating. Enjoy the view with Lisa!

The idea of an observation post for stargazing is absolutely great!
The view out my kitchen window is somewhat limited as the moon gets high above the house, and since there are city lights around, stars aren't so visible. On a clear night sometimes the big dipper is visible. I hope you'll be able to share pics when the swing is up.

Amen. I found a non-big-name company that had a lot of supplies and was very hard to find. I used ~$12,000 of the FEMA/SBA loan we got buying as much as we thought we would need so there would be no waiting for lumber to become available. It's crazy out there.

it all reads so lovely and it is also great that you can get supplies and workmen, It is hopeless here and the costs are getting beyond us.
