There's a play that opens with a young couple killed in a car crash. It's called THE JOVIAL GHOSTS , I believe, and was renamed TOPPER as a movie.
Colorado Springs has a number of 'little theatres' as well as some professional or semi-professional groups. It can get wearisome, though, sitting for 2 or 3 hours in uncomfortable seats.

Yes it becomes tougher to write anything as one gets older. I could tell you how my
brother catches spiders and then throws them outside. Or how we smuggled corn to
feed the chickens. Or how my old mate courted a woman when he was called up in
the army. It was abroad, he said she had the biggest nose he had ever seen. Well
you don't want to know that his mates would shout ,' Hey Jimmy your parrot is
coming up the road looking for you.'

Good evening
My friend Lori owns our local theater here in my boro. The live acting is always amazing to watch. It's usually performed by high school kids who are enrolled in acting classes. As for the play that you watched, I feel your need to rewrite it. It is straight out of a Jerry Springer or Maury segment.

I haven't seen that one, but I agree with you about the plot.
It's a good thing to support local theatre groups, maybe the next play they do will be a comedy.
