"Soylent Green" was a dystopian novel made into a movie in 1973. The world had descended into mass chaos, people were starving and all kinds of terrible things and strife were happening. The government comes up with this nutritious food to help cut down on hunger. One of the last lines in the movie was, "Soylent green is PEOPLE!"
Oddly enough, it was set in the future ... 2022.

By now they must have a lot more different brands, for allergies, diabetic brands, stuff like that. (Soylent Brown, Soylent yellow....)
