Thank you!
It's been a slog, but we are making progress.

I know how awesome both of you will feel when this is all said and done and you can stand back and hug each other and admire the community effort.

Thank you. We enjoy the challenge. The two of us are happy doing what we are doing, even if it is hard work... we are together, and that is all that matters to us.
Blessings to you!

Thanks for the concern! My nephew will be coming down to do the electrical repairs. He is a licensed contractor for electrical work and plumbing. He went through and gave me a list of everything I needed to have on hand before his arrival. He uses my Amazon Prime account, so he found everything and put it in my 'shopping cart' there. When we get home Wednesday night or Thursday, I will order it and just pack it away until he gets his vacation. We will get a permit to do this and the new roof, but we will do the work. Jim (my nephew) will bring down two of his co-workers, and he says the roof should be a two-day job tops. I owned 36 apartments in seven different buildings at one time, and Lord knows I did enough plumbing stuff... but Jim will come behind me and make sure it all was done properly.
Take care!

Sounds like great progress on all fronts...
One suggestion I would offer is that anyone doing major electrical projects hire a licensed electrician even if it costs quite a bit more than DIY. In some places it's illegal to do your own electrical repairs, wiring, etc., and in any case it's better than risking a house fire.
