That reminds me - I need to get out and go through my brother's vinyl collecction. He had told me some of them were worth quite a bit to collectors.

Good Morning

Ciel, I wish you luck with all your items.  I would have trouble selling them.  I started a collection of depression ware years ago and it's all so pretty.  I favor the pink and green ones.  I can honestly say not one of my children would be interested in any of it. I hope you have a good day.  Stay warm!  It's so cold here too!

It is funny but things do change in value, I suppose one has to sell at the right time/

Copper Kettles.  A FIVER 50 years ago now no one wants to polish them..

Good evening

I have never heard of such a gadget. That is pretty cool. It sounds as though you could make some extra cash from just a few items if you needed it. I need to look into checking some prices on my paintings and the hubby's antiques. I love collecting stuff, but we are in need of a good cleanout. Might as well make some cash for it.

it is interesting to find out the value of things. it is something I should do....for the family. I don't want to sell anything. I have only kept what I treasure and enjoy having around me.

I never went searching for or found any collectibles such as those you

describe, but I do understand doing it. Mine consist of things my kids made for me at school and gifted me at Mother's day, or birthday gifts to make me laugh. One that I kept for a good 30 or 40 years is "the old gray mare" a draft horse with a straw hat, and a funny-looking clown with a red nose and an umbrella hat piggy bank with a label that says "for a rainy day." Priceless to me, not so much to a collector.
