I heartily support your borther for making that decision! I've been driving down in Michigan during the winter and shared the road with the drivers there, all on only 4 season tires and most slipping and sliding all over the place. YeGads!!

LOL. I think I have said this before, but I'll repeat it. Of the six kids in our family, Jerry and I were definitely the 'cream of the crop.' Oddly enough, I was the oldest, and Jerry was the youngest. I firmly believe that it had the amount of 'alone time' we each had with Dad. The nice thing about him being here right now is he is definitely brighter than I am for the project at hand. I look at a project and start figuring out this and then figure out that while Jerry looks at it, thinks for a moment, and he starts telling me exactly what we need. We both have our specialty areas. Mine is more in the medical/psychology/writing areas. Jerry was a die-maker which requires the opposite side of the brain than the stuff I do.
The big plus? We enjoy each other's company. Lisa would be the first to tell you that we both have the same sense of humor. She tells me that she can easily see that we are brothers all the time. Unlike our other two brothers, I don't mind being brothers.
