One of our presidents refused to ever eat chicken again after touring a chicken processing plant.

i Just buy enough to stay fresh except for frozen halibut once in a while at Costco. It sounds good to be stocked up. Wish sometimes that I had a freezer.

No I don't buy like this but I eat very little meat, I buy free range eggs or from a local farmer; or used to. my diet these days is way healthier than it once was.

Re: Goldiec,

The only canned vegies I buy are corn and green-beans/beans for something like a 3-bean salad. I sometimes add canned beans to canned baked beans to spread the sweet around more.

Peas, never! Spinach...? *gag*

Okay, beets are all right.

But I agree, most prepared foods are way too salty!

Good Afternoon

I've only ever shopped at the grocery store.  A few years ago I decided to cut back on my meat.  I use a lot more vegetables now than I used to.  My freezer is packed with frozen vegetables.  My doctor said there is too much salt in can goods.

Yum!

I love halibut and cod. That is healthy eating at its best.
