I love renovating. The before and after pics say it all.

Re: Pat

Inasmuch as possible, the wife is 'directing' the appearance of the place. I am happy with whatever happens so long as my office serves my needs.

This re-write of 'The Brick' will be posted here as soon as I finish 'Unnecessary Death.' I had it at just shy of 30,000 words, but I expect it will be over 40-42,000 words with the addition of new material. I don't shoot for a certain number of words; they just happen.

I know that I've mentioned it before, but when my partner in the live streaming business lost his wife, I encouraged him to write something about his thoughts and feelings every day. Some days I got two emails, and sometimes I would not get anything for a week. When he died on September 29th, he left me with about 18,000 words of grief and pain. I have selected about 2500 words from his original writings to include in my updated version.

I will also point this out when I begin to post that story, but a call from Lisa literally saved my life. I had been pushed so far against the wall, I was ready to end it. I use the incident in the story, but I use a different name for some obvious and not so obvious reasons.
Thank you.

The house will take shape as you two want it to, looking forward to

how you do it. The story you're working on and the depression and grief that fueled it just might be what the doctor ordered to help a reader overcome their own and go on with their life. Good on you for facing the demons again.  Be well.
