Re: Annicita,

Certainly sounds like he was bipolar as he was also very often profoundly depressed.

Yes it is strange how some artists are revered and yet others remain in the background. I suppose it is in the minds of those who form a majority. Have a good trip.

Good Morning

Ciel, I hope you all have a wonderful time at the exhibit.  Thanks for sharing such a great post.  I know when we go to the Cleveland Art Museum I'm just as happy as I can be.  I could stay there for hours looking at all the exhibits.  They have a display of a lady from the 17th century that I just love.  It is exquisite.  Artists really have a special talent.

Good morning

So many creatives never made it to fame until they departed this world. That is such a shame. Sensory overload in my opinion can lead to creative ventures that helps the person suffering release their inner turmoil. Those living a normal life are not always aware that touch, smell, sound, or sight is such a sensitive thing for so many who often express it in impressions that are to some are considered odd.

I agree too. I've had my family tell me more than once, 'You attract the weirdest people as friends'. But yes - that's why I like them!

I used to get bored by the typical, step-by-step predictable lessons

in grade school and would let my mind wander into daydreams. Sometimes this ticked the teacher off, and she'd snap me right back into the here and now with one of those teachery tricks - asking a sudden question or slapping a book on her desk... these days they call that ADHD. So I'm right there with you on this post. I think you've put your finger on it!
