Very often it is not so easy. I have had cars scrape mine and melt into the sunshine.

Good luck.

I know anytime you have to get anything fixed on a car it costs so much money.  I'm glad you are okay.

I had my side mirror broken but it was by the repair shop doing my oil change.

Re: sassyass,

Expensive, yes--but the other driver owns a construction company, and has a running account at the repair shop, and so he can afford our repairs without hardship, so there's that. I'm also very glad it is getting dealt with simply and quickly and between ourselves!

Re: Pat,

It's a funny thing how my bad luck with vehicles is so laced with good luck! There was that time I had the flat, flat, flat tire--right in front of the house!  And the time I locked myself out by accident when the engine was running, and the AAA guy showed up really fast--and it later turned out I got the service on someone else's account with, I suppose, the same name, because mine had lapsed.

Re: Kabu,

It was startling and I was very unsettled the rest of the afternoon, but the guy was so reasonable and the repair shop so accomodating, (except for everyone there being maskless and joking about testing positive for Covid) that it was pretty much a good experience. It all went so quickly, there wasn't time to get anxious about things. Without insurance companies involved, it was simple, too. The mirror should be fixed by this afternoon. l appreciate whatever role your God and you play in how easily it's gone!

Re: TAPS,

Maybe it's something in the air... Mine was slightly ransacked a few nights ago, though no windows were broken. We only noticed because some things were on the floor that were usually in the closed glove box. Gloves, actually. But I don't lock the doors because I never leave anything of value in there, and replacing glass is expensive, not to mention cleaning it out of every corner of the car! I've had to do that twice, and they still never got anything, not even loose change.

Did Sis and the others just get smashed, or also burgled?

Talk about a costly freak accident.

It is good though that no one was hurt and it is being dealt with quickly.

Nice to have a good spin on bad luck. Lucky everyone is OK.

I can feel the crunch as the mirrors made contact...

I am thanking my God you and Charlie are safe, and it wasn't worse.

Don't you just love it when things like that happen.  Sis had a car problem this week when someone broke the car windows of five cars in her parking lot overnight.  Her's was one of the five.
