I hope you can bring in as many plants as possible with the weather turning so cold. I just don't know what to think with the heat, cold, fires, and COVID. The First Responders are working around the clock. My heart goes out to all of them.

Thankful for small mercies I agree. Pity you have to take the plants in so early.
We do seem to get warmer Autumns, as long as they last.

I am also reminded that my friends in California--some of them in the Fresno area--are being evacuated, are trying to collect the very best of what they can take with them from their homes... Around 200 people who were suddenly surrounded by flames and could not be gotten to, were told to shelter near and even in the reservoir if they had to. I think they've been evacuated by helicopters by now.
There are stories to be told...

Thank you for the reminder that some folks are out there risking their
lives, not just from Covid but from firestorms and smoke. Makes being confined to quarters just a little less worth whining about. Hope your celebration is great fun and everyone enjoys it.
