Re: Re: Goldiec,

I'm glad the snow won't last long!  It's way too early to deal with the freezing cold and snow.

Re: Goldiec,

This snow won't last more than a day or so... also typical of Colorado Springs snows. They are now saying over 3 inches...

I will pass that along!

Re: Kabu,

Indeed!  We plan to make tot-waffles for breakfast--tater tots cooked in a waffle iron--with bacon, sour cream, green onions, applesauce... like potato pancakes but cooler!

Re: CCT,

I am guessing that Archie doesn't have room to grow the dahlias in his own yard.

Oct 3...

My parents had some peculiar ideas about children and their workings. They did give have some great attributes and experiences to share, but they were both emotional cripples themselves. I am this peculiar blend of it all.

Snow

From heat to snow!  That's a big change. Although I'm glad the heat is leaving I don't think I'm ready for snow yet.

Re: Pat,

At least the doves will be out of any wind and snow if not the cold.

Being on the line between mountains and plains, I suppose that can make weathers harder to predict.

I hope your autumn is less... manic!

Re: sassyass,

I live in Colorado Springs, about 60 miles south of Denver. We are on the edge of the Rockies, the edge of the plains, just east of Pike's Peak.

That's what the forecast showed for the month of September here, too. Until suddenly, it said this.

No one should be on a diet over a BirthdayTime.

Goodness it gets cold here at nights I dare not telL Archie who cuts the Dahlias he has been moaning about them all summer. When is your Birthday/ Interesting I read your piece about childhood. I had no idea you could feel so deprived as  child. I was the same not deprived but by words which later became twisted in my child mind.

The birthday cake sounds like a fabulous treat.

I've been following those weather forecasts for your area. C R A Z Y.  One of the guys said Denver's the toughest place on earth - or maybe it was the busiest - for weather forecasters.  Hope your doves are able to nest happily...

What a total hot mess concerning the weather report.

I am not sure where you are located, but that is a bizarre mix. We too have Doves, but no expected snow in the near future. We will still be in the 70s come the middle of September.
