Well nice to have that out of the way. I can think of a myriad things that want doing.

I think I would like to sell up Lock stock and I cannot even think of the last word.

Like you we have had heavy rain. I remember barrel. Keep cool.

Sometimes I think of storms as a way for the earth to be cleaned.  Sometimes when they are over our grass looks greener and flowers seem to perk up.  But, I will say there are the other times when there's lots of mud everywhere and I don't like that.  We have a ditch next to our house and I always worry that it's going to flood.  It never has but I guess the potential is there. It fills up with water though but then drains down in the ground.  Towards the end of the week, we've got storms coming, and then it will cool off according to the weatherman. I have my gnomes on the front porch and I keep them back close to the house so if the rains come they won't get wet. It's so nice that you got a new roof.  I'm glad the men came and cleaned up all the debris.

My parents would talk about something being a "Doozy".  "That's a doozy of a lie!"

Nice to have the new roof solid before the skies opened up.

I like the give & take you have with your sons.  Amazing how fast they go from adorable first graders to grandpas, isn't it.
