honoring his wishes. In my mind it is no kindness to keep someone breathing if their life is nothing but suffering, and especially if they are eager to knock on heaven's door.

Oh yeah. I used to see it all the time in the ER. Make sure that the person in charge of deciding your care is someone on whom you can depend. If they seem willing to waiver, get someone else.

Thanks for sharing that...if you have a written request signed by you, to be allowed to die, can relatives overrule your decision?
