You capture the wonderful time of the year so well in your poem. June is an uplifting month.

Kabu
What a fun poem to celebrate the summer season! Good to read, good to see writing poetry! Thank you. I have hardly ever seen a firefly.

I first saw them when I moved to Illinois. They don't have them in
western Washington where I grew up. Love them, and I love the poem - I can almost see them blinking in rhythm to your words.

Just perfect. I can almost see them running.
Our grandkids love to catch them, but we always tell them to release the poor creatures back out into nature. We used to call them lightning bugs when I was a kid in Delaware.
