I bought and hung those wasp nest catchers but they never worked. One would get caught by the wind and I would have to chase it. Hot here too.

Surprising how wild life adapts, it is nice to know that she does not fear your presence.I would hate the smoky fires. We used to have it when farmers burnt the straw in the fields. That does not happen now thankfully.

Hopefully all is well as far as forest fires go.
We have Doves in our yard too. They are fairly trusting so long as you do not startle them.

Wildfires? Already? It seems we can't even get halfway past one
damn thing, when another comes piling on... I've always hated forest fires, no matter what Mother Nature says, they just don't seem necessary in any way, shape or form. Good to think of the doves feeling settled and safe with you around.
