Writing "seat of the pants" style is so much more natural to me - as you
described it here - the idea of an outline first was counterproductive. That's what the editing-revising stage is for - to organize it and keep the reader involved. Good job!

It so good that you were able to recover your material. That would have been horrid! It is no fun to lose someone one writes.

Glad you recovered it all. I wish I had done that.
I write like that as well. I don't care to outline at all. Sometimes I need to make a list of the characters so I don't confuse them. I read that book. I also read Janet Evanovich's book on writing as well.
