What a mess. Thankfully it worked out for you.

I am glad to hear that you eventually received the help that you needed. My parents were going to fly to D.C. from Nevada next month to see my brother and I, but they quickly changed their plans after hearing so many horror stories concerning travel. Then there is the extra problem of getting that "real I.D." With non-essential businesses closed in our state, it is going to be one hell of a year.

Talk about an ordeal. It was just one thing after the other. Hopefully, you're able to get some much deserved rest after all that.

Kabu, dear sweet lady...

You have endured a real nightmare lately, and this is just a terrible frosting to that cake. I am so deeply sorry and my heart goes out to you and Wiley John. One burning question, for God's sake, why could they not have faxed or digitally photo'd the documents to you, have you sign them and then you could have digitally sent them back until you returned to do so in person? Be well, rest and I'm glad you're home safely.

Re: That does not sound like a vacation at all. I'm sorry you had such

Did you come into Detroit Metro? I fly in and out of there quite often.

Detroit is one of those weird towns that kind of remind me of NYC or San Fran. There are a lot of nice people there, but there are a lot of idiots too. I'm sorry you met one. They seem to more of a 'big city' type creature. Here in the sticks, most people would drive you home long before they would sound off to ya.

This virus thing has a lot of normally common sense people going crazy. I'm like my dogs, and I've 'had all of my shots.' While the flu shots were not specific to this new strain, it shares enough biological commonalities to help. They can argue all day with its 'proper name,' but it's still a strain of the flu. I suspect that this will be handled within the next five to six weeks. One flu virus prevention lays the ground for the next one. Add in the apparent effectiveness of the old quinine drugs, and by fall, there will be a vaccination for it.

As to your life-partner, Wiley, I'm sorry to hear about the continued travails. It can suck the soul out of you. Stand strong. Bend when you have to, cry when you must, but reach down inside, and stand strong. There will be time for weeping later. Right now demands all of your inner strength. Find a nursing friend there, and let your pain and grief out to them. They understand.

I'm an email away. Never more than an email away. I've always got time to listen.

Always your friend.

Oh my goodness.  I am so thankful to not be traveling anywhere.  Today I went to church in Florida with my Florida Son and his family via live-streaming, from home in  Missouri.  There were not many people there and the pews were marked for everyone to sit six feet apart.  Son was leading the singing and I sang along, singing harmony to his melody to the old hymns.  That's enough traveling for me.

That does not sound like a vacation at all. I'm sorry you had such

a time of it, and that it took such a kerfuffle to get someone to finally act like a human being and help you untangle the knots.  Now you can take a deep breath and maybe relax before you tackle the paperwork.  Be well.
