My son went into the Air Force in 2003, and left in 2009 with several silver medals for bravery 'above and beyond' for actions he took while on the battle field tending wounded men from both sides of the war. He finished his college degree and went back into the Army as a Master Sergeant. He is now a Captain. He is still a medic and has been in the Ukraine teaching medical skills. He also was in Russia on the old 'trust, but verify' doctrine. He speaks fairly fluent Russian, and loves to send his nephews voice mails in Russian.

Quite obviously, I am very proud of him and his service.

I didn't pay much attention to most of the hype...it was a great game and I'm glad The Chiefs won.

Honoring those who have served is a big deal to us. The whole taking a knee thing is of the utmost disrespect in our eyes, but this is what our world is becoming... a younger generation who has zero respect for their forefathers.
