I am building a network for music, writing, singing, live music shows, political opinion shows, and sporting events. I currently have broadcasters coming out of the UK, South Africa, and multiple places across America. We have built our own broadcasting tools, and I have five servers to carry the load. I've been live broadcasting since 2002.
While not exactly the most up to date site it should be right now, here is the information on it. It was last updated in 2015, and because the product is udnergoing radical changes due the the upcoming death of all things FLASH, we are staying ahead of the curve by changing how we broadcast.
Most current broadcasts are done in what is called 'H264.' Places like NetFlix, Hulu, Amazon, and Sling TV broadcast in H265, a system that allows for a much higher quality without requiring an Internet speed that 98% of the country can't obtain.
