Re: Pat

Hm' so you don't get it now Pat?  I'll tell you something horrible, told to me quite casually by a neighbor. I think though perhaps we ought to wipe this subject up for now.

Re: PResta

Yes indeed, one thing it gets me up early, that is the best time to cut the flowers.

I sometimes wonder why I do this, I suppose I just like wrestling with nature, she is a cunning wench.

Re: Taps

My dear Taps I limit myself to one bottle of red wine a week, always missing one day.

I am also thinking of signing the vow of celibacy, or giving up answering unwanted phone calls.

I knew you were drinking too much alcohol.  That will do it.  For every can of beer you drink, you need to drink a large glass of water.

Leg cramps? After having done some heavy work, you were probably somewhat dehydrated - so drink lots of water. But since by sweating you also lose sodium and potassium, both necessary for proper muscle function, have some salted nuts and a banana for the potassium...

for leg cramps

Calcium supplements can help, and when I was taking statins and leg cramps were a side effect, I was told to take CoQ10, and that helped though not with immediate effect. When it happens now, I run very warm water over my foot or leg and that eases it up pretty quickly.

Ah, yess, there used to be outhouses fit for double occupancy,

but never thought the need to void would be so urgent that I'd be willing to share... I suppose the pioneers on westward-bound wagon trains had to go in twos out into the brush in case there were bears or coyotes or something...  Hope your cramp is all better, the only thing that ever worked for mine was a heating pad.
