No poem today
Hello Gardening news from a cold damp garden. Small carrots planted in pots could be pulled as a delicacy, potatoes as large as pullet eggs and pak choi is ready to harvest. The pinks which I bought last autumn have quite a nice scent, I think the reason is that I am sheltering them in an open frame...

Little Moss roses from a sprig I pulled years ago.
Yesterday I felt a bit rough as I have to take a pill once a week to stop the steroids leaching the bones. One has to stand for half an hour afterwards so I do the hoovering as it is a job to do that lying down. I must admit it is an unpleasant chore. One little tale comes to mind. My brother's wife...

This is bad weather for we who grow potatoes. I have noticed tiny specs of blight on one batch. Fortunately they are isolated from most. I don't like spraying food crops, but I think there may be a moderately mild cure. Or I may cut the tops off and harvest the little marbles. Perhaps that would be...

I must try and get some photos tomorrow. My brother asked me to get him some loin chops. He did not want foreign ones and he did not want frozen. He has never done much shopping, but his wife is poorly and I get a few things on Tuesday. There was six small chops in the packet, new season Welsh lamb....
