loving that tree and longing for something to be able to come through the snow and show just a bit of green would do.

Re: Strat

I love dogwood trees.  I watch for them here in our city.

I feel that Ross was spot on with her assessment.

Wow -- whatever it is, it's a beaut!

We have a dogwood tree just coming into full glory right now -- worth every sneeze!

I planted two flowering trees in my backyard in the fall before my mom passed.  She was so excited to see them flower in the spring, but never got to see it.  So now, when they bloom, I think of her.

I've noticed those things about stained glass windows...

My nephew used to make leaded glass windows, small ones to hang like pictures in front of a regular window, large ones... I never knew witch hazel trees bloomed like that, but I did know the liquid came in small bottles and mama kept it on hand.

Thanks. TAPS

for sharing the lovely tree, for the quote from Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, and the story of the stained glass.  Also for plugging my photos!

Lovely pink clusters, watch out for the fruit if any of course it may not be edible. Yes a brill quote . The trouble is they all had first go at them.
