I have great faith in gravity! Physical laws are easier to believe in than 'paraphysical' ones, though I have faith in some of what appear to be those laws, too.

Great post.  Yes, we all must have 'faith' in something.  That the sun will rise tomorrow,  and that gravity will not suddenly turn off,  if nothing else.  I think that the agnostic view is best,  admitting that we do not know everything,  admitting that our beliefs may actually be proven wrong someday,  and being open to learn new facts that contradict our beliefs.

You are right, I feel. We all do need and have faith. I remember a priest saying that 75% of what we know is due to faith. 

And I also agree that saying that God wants things that way is a cop-out.

yeah... if he had believed in psychology, for one thing. But he said he was never interested in delving into himself. Because it was all about him, of course.
