Well if she is like her Gran who knows to what she will aspire.

That is great that she is going to be closer to home. I myself when I was applying to college did not want to be more than an hour away from home. I settled on Loyola College of Maryland, which is about a half hour away.

Haha, I'm sure she would welcome her Nan with open arms..

It is hard to see them fly far away when they first leave the nest.

Kabu

I am a thoroughgoing fan of the game of Cricket. I once played myself. Second only to Indians, I love the Australian players. Have a mind once at least to spend time in that beautiful country. Say my congrats to you princess.

I wish your Princess all the luck in the world. Now, about that sowing wild oats business...

I think she made the right decision, too! She no doubt will get homesick in the beginning and being close she can get through it much easier! Your sam I am

How fast they grow up! She will be ready for your visit, whenever it is! And loving it!

Don't know how it works in Australia, but commuting between home

and campus seems like a good idea to me. Kids away from parental supervision can get involved in the party scene and forget that education is the point of being there... Not that your darling grandchild would do so.  I'm sure she knows the point of the whole thing.
