Re:

Re:

snipped his tail off...is that because of the poem...I used to recite one as a child for the relatives about a doormouse with a tail that was enormouse. Still friends but only just.

I hardly like to introduce my new pet. I feel rather ashamed after salivating over all those goodies.  Perhaps I should explain he is a little wood mouse not a nasty house mouse and I have snipped his tail off, so you will grow to love him. Well perhaps not today I'll wait until you are a bit cheeky. Friends still?

The Great Kabu Bake Up!

I had some over-ripe bananas yesterday, and most of a box of gingerbread cake mix. I made a gingerbanana cake... gave half of it to Rob next door, the new Uber driver. Charlie has no love of bananas.

That is a productive and yummy way to spend what amounted to being a rainy Saturday...For us, the rain has been mostly holding off as of late.

Nothing says home like the scents of cooking and baking...

I never heard of Pavlova as a cake - I thought that was a dancer's name.  Silly me.

Great post.  Those meat and veggie pasties sure look good.
I must admit that I don't go to much trouble any longer.  I spent most of my life cooking up a storm and have not much desire to do it much any longer.  Soups and salads and good ready made loaves of bread will do it for me.

Kabu

I've had my supper and it wasn't bad at all, yet reading this makes me hungry again! However, I shall resist temptation - I don't want any complaints from my scale...

Kabu

What a lovely tradition. Oh how I would have loved doing that and EATING  those wonders. Some I did not even recognize. No wonder dad came in smiling. His three ladies had made him proud.
