On The Trail I frequent, everything is so lush and green on account of the rain...You have been keeping busy.

Re: Pat,

I used clear Elmers for the roofing, and the dabs that ended up on the outside will be covered with a dull or satin lustre fixative. It was a bit messy to work with, but that may have been a problem with my technique.

I always liked Elmers glue, it doesn't smell bad and it comes in

a bottle with an applicator lid, you can write out a narrow bead of it, let it dry just a bit until it gets tacky before pressing vines or paper flowers into it. At Michaels craft stores they have glues for all kinds of materials - pricey but worth it to have the work hold up.

Re: CCT,

I look forward to doing one after another as I can get them. That will keep me from following your latter suggestion.

Standardization has already been done.  My houses will allways be more special than that!

Re: Annicita,

I will keep that in mind if I have to glue any wood.  I rarely use hot glue except for a kind of glue-basting since it isn't reliable in warm temps.

That's a global warming problem no one talks about: all the things that, when the temps get hot, will just fall apart.

Re: Kabu,

We won't. Can't pull out one thread without running the risk of unravelling the whole tapestry.

Well Ciel if you are going into the doll house building business you will have to build quickly and standardize your structures.  I expect though this is a doll's house that will increase in value , I suspect you will like it too much and shrink yourself and move in.

glue sticks aren't very good if used on wood....try e6000 or wood glue

I have dickie birds too, they come for a bath in the new water feature. How could we survive without our nature around us.
