Re: TAPS,
Climbing around the high rocks only requires a free permit you can get across the road at the visitor center, and I see people up on the rocks with all the technical gear. People still scramble around on some of the lower ones. There are neighborhoods to the south, but they are not actually very visible from the park. The only other is atop the ridge beyond the visitor center, also not at all obtrusive. I think you'd still find what you loved there, before.

I so loved the Garden of the Gods back in the early 1960's before they filled in the area with so many houses and when they didn't even care if you climbed around amongst, and on the rocks. But, even now it is still gorgeous. Always special to me.

Re: CCT,
Charlie showed up home a couple of hours later--seems a forklift was on site to do most of the heavy carrying, so the lads only had to bring it into the tent where the stage is.
He went back after noon to help set up the electical bits.

If ever you want to visit them again, I will be glad to tour you around, and provide a bed, besides--Camping not required.

Sounds like a real treat and what a shame that we humans can get so caught up in what we are doing we forget why we were born. I'll stick with the doggies. LOL

One thing Ciel you can enjoy most things to some it would not move an eyelid. Shame about the camera. Never mind though Charlie was building up his muscles.

I can just see your Garden of the Gods drive - spent a couple
magical trips through the area some 40 years ago while camped up in the national park. It was such a treat then, and thanks so much for tweaking the memory.
