excellent write CCT...the screaming probably ended soon after the snippers cut the flower from the plant. Anyway, sometimes one just has to be strong and put some cotton wool in the ears to soften the shrieks.

I like potted plants with roots in soil
but cut flowers are a delight to the eye, as well, and less of a sort of adoption with on-going responsibilities.

I have never done anything like that to flowers.
I do use the little packets that come with flowers from the florists for longer life.
I hope that whatever is in those packets does not cause the pretty flowers pain.
