no one in the neighborhood to help?  maybe a teenager who can help that needs some pocket change...

Be very careful with that tooth!

If you forget and clamp down on a nut, your tooth will remind you...

I can identify with that issue as I've been wearing partials for two (very) long years now, and they do not work as well as home grown teeth... I wear a white long-sleeved shirt out in the garden - or will if we ever have another sunny day - old oxford cloth shirt I bought at the Goodwill to reflect the sun.

Good luck with your tooth.

Re: Re: Kabu

If you get a suit like that you will look like a stick of Brighton Rock!! I know that I am naughty...and unrepentant.

Re: Ciel

Well Arthur had one taken out on the NH as his dentist didn't want to do it. He said it was the best treatment he had ever experienced and of course it was free. Yes I am a bit annoyed Ciel the perennials will be in bloom and the dahlias. I must say he seems a bit contrite working his socks off. He did pick himself two or three pounds of raspberries today as I couldn't be bothered to pick them.

Yes one has to watch out for these things Bill.

Yes we always get used to things FS and don't wish to change, you were lucky.

A new dentist could be a pleasant surprise... or not.

It is a difficult dilemma, but if you are hurting...   I once had access only to the Free Clinic where almost-dentists got in some practice. Bad, bad way to have a wisdom tooth out.

The red shirt sounds flashy!

Is someone just avoiding garden work this summer? Seems a bit unfair to be reaping the benefits without actually reaping.

I hope your mouth is feeling better...I would feel leery about changing dentists as well. My dentist retired about two and a half years ago, but fortunately, the husband and wife team who bought his practice are fine dentists.

Re:

Yes bright and cheerful Justi. I think he was a bit embarrassed about taking another week off in the midst of the season. Hush! his wife has had a little windfall.

Re: Naut

Yes Naut every little bit counts as we age. Sadly she was so good I hope that remains so. I don't like it when they pause halfway on a pull.

Re: Taps

Crikey Pat the dentists know how to pull a fast one. Dentures  are the way to go apparently. Wasn't it horrible in the past some young women had for a wedding present the privilege of having their teeth extracted, perhaps they were then made into dentures.

Re: Kabu

Now you are very naughty Kabu. The trouble is we have childhood memories of those wretched cruel  tooth wrenching times provided by the school dentist. It is not like that at all now, it is pretty painless. I suppose I can always wear an overcoat over the shirts, but what a save. I am looking for a suit red with white stripes, it should be quite a bargain.

Re: Krisles

Yes try and book that appointment Krisles teeth are so important especially if one wants to crack Brazil nuts. I do believe that the sun is much harsher now, it is imperative to cover up and use plenty of cream. It does seem that legs go first, I don't think it wise to wear high heels too often either. They make me cringe, well half-cringe.

Re: overtherainbow

A lady was telling me that her family of six all used the same little round pot of tooth paste. I suppose they were used to each others germs, I didn't ask if it was the same toothbrush. I 'll start by buying a pixie hat and see how it goes.

I missed my last dental check and it is really bugging me....I like to keep regular on all that....now I imagine that my gums are getting weird.  I've got it on my list to do as soon as I am released.  Teeth are soooooooo important!!!  I'm very lucky, so my dermatologist tells me, to have grown up in Texas and have so very little sun damage on my skin - most women here have most of their damage on their legs....and I never tried to be careful....but now I do, now I use sunscreen and hats and am usually covered.

I am ashamed of my teeth and won't talk about them. Glad you got the shirts...wash them a few times and hang them in the sun. They may fade and if not well it is a comfort to know we will not lose you easily!

Seems like everyone I know anywhere around my age is having trouble with brittle teeth, including me.  Sis broke off a tooth, Baltimore Sis had a toothache while she was here.  When she got back and went to dentist, he wants to do a root canal and then a cap on the tooth for a total of $3,000.  Sis is thinking about that one and doing a lot of tooth cleaning.  I had a toothache about three days ago in the night.  It woke me up.  I'm being very careful until I get to the dentist.

It's always traumatic to lose body parts, no matter how small... And I wonder how your dentist broke her wrist! Maybe she was yanking too had on a recalcitrant molar...

Well it appears the Lord blessed you with the two lovely shirts but we may have to talk with your helper or get in another to replace him for awhile until he grows up. Be very careful until your dentist is well.
