Working and winding the wool at the same time

I used to be the event specialist at a toy store.  I was in charge of the Summer Reading Club.  It was something new in our area and it went over with gang busters.  The sign up weekend I would get people to come in and entertain the kids with various activities.  The weekend and the SRC were huge successes year after year.

And we have been gifted with this post.  Everything about it was great--so very interesting.

The winding of the wool, I often do it sitting down,

with the open skein laid around knee and foot.  The making of the ball goes slowly, carefully, and I must confess I get as much pleasure from the time spent doing that successfully, in no hurry, as in the crocheting itself.

What a lovely gentle cultural time for you all. I remember holding my hands apart at the right distance while Mother wound her skeins of wool into balls. Enjoy using that lovely wool.

Well done Pat, I hope the young man can make as much from writing as he will from teaching.
