You are very naughty changing the weather pattern . You must do what I do drape some fleece over tender little plants. We had hail yesterday and it made little holes in some leaves. Never cast a clout until May is out.

Oh, no!  Not that!  It's frightfully cold here, too.  No snow, thank the Lord, but still cold!  I'm starting to wonder if summer will ever even come at all!

Snow would have ruined everything. It was your good luck

My mom is like you.  She used to plant flowers every spring.  I always buy her perennials so she doesn't have to replant so much each year.  Now she sits back and watches them grow each spring whether she is here with me or in Long Lane.

Weather can change in a hurry. Fortunately, for us in Maryland, I do not believe that we will see any snow until December at the earliest.

I used to experience those extremes of weather while living in the Lake Placid, N.Y.

region. We have a freeze warning tonight, where I'm at. Which means you may get

that snow after all. Although, I hope you don't, for your garden's sake.

It's very chilly here this a.m., too. I'm chilled and have my

electric fireplace going. Looks cozy, even if it isn't really warm. As for your charm against the snow - if the First Nations people can do a dance to bring rain, I see no reason a new citizen can't spin words to stop snow.

On a different topic: I just tried to Google Dave Cryer & came up

with several leads. Dave Cryer, Author - I'm thinking at least one of those sites will have a way to contact him...  ♥

Nothing like hail to shred a garden...

I have a supply of large open-weave baskets and other such things as emergency shelter for plants, for when the hail comes. My most useful is a cylindrical one about 20 inches in diameter, maybe 2 feet high, that fits over a pot nicely, and stays there if I set a big rock on top.

Good for you.  You keep that snow away.  It's even cold down here tonight, just not cold enough to snow.  But we sure have had the rain.
