Re: thanks, Naut--

I am glad you enjoy it!  I will have to start a gallery of Nautical images one of these days.

I am also sliding away from consuming as much meat protein as I've been used to. I will not be giving up eggs, either, though dairy has been mostly off my menu for a while now. When it comes down to it, I believe there is something wrong about killing for things we don't actually need. At the least, it is poor stewardship.

Ciel

I am quite impressed with your site - and I will definitely keep it in mind...I also like your recipe, including the improvised chutney! I'm gradually turning into a semi-vegetarian, though I will never be a vegan - far too pious for my taste, LOL...

Re: adnohr,

Thanks for visiting my FAA website!  The photos go up on Twitter and on Facebook when I post them on FAA. Then, if they get shared or retweeted, the number of viewers increases quite a lot.  I have noticed in the stats that there are quite a few return viewers, too, who take a look at just about everything, and cruise the galleries.

Re: Thanks, BC-A!

I fiddle some, sometimes, with highlights, shadows and contrast, and a little, very little bit with saturation occasionally.  Overdoing that or shadows creates a surrealistic touch. Mostly, I want to show what I saw and felt when I took the shot.

Excellent work love. How you achieve shades and tone's marvelous.

Great idea! I dropped in on your site - did you put it up on FB? I like chutney too, especially with the traditional tortière from Quebec.

The Masala Vegetable burgers sound yummy.

Re: Pat,

The one most common around here seems to be the Earl Grey's chutney which I don't like that much. Used to have a great recipe for a peach chutney, but it got lost. That may be why I thought of the apricot spread, though, and mince meat is not far off either.

My education has been sadly lacking. I've never tasted chutney.

However, your recipe that includes apricot fruit spread sounds like just what the doctor ordered.  I'm gonna try it.
