I guess my age kind of made me feel intimidated the one time I tried each one.

I dislike more than I like on Facebook.
I signed up for Twitter, but I never go there.

I know there are pros & cons to much of today's technology, and there is much of it I do tend to use from time to time, but FaceBook and Twitter will never be one of them. Sometimes it really, really feels that this 'social media' outburst is hurting more people in various ways than it helps . . .

Re: Re: Bel,

LOL!  I thought at first it was your handle but yes let's do that.  On Twitter I have my teenage nieces and I'm hoping to not only inspire them but also from time to time offer some wise Auntie advice without shoving it down their throats.  They have dealt with not so nice boys and some bullying recently.  Trying to promote my pieces is just an added bonus!

I feel like I am always learning something new on Facebook.

Re: Naut

Heh... You would probably find plenty to contribute there, creating and responding. My favorite forehead-palm/eye-roll today actually came from my goofle news feed: an article by a 'journalist' with 10 years professional experience, writing about a group of cosmetologists studying the heavens. Not a typo--it occured in the headline and several times throughout the article.

Re: Pat,

I would be glad to connect with you there, but I'd still like to have lunch together.

Re: Bel,

For me, it's the writing, the ideas--like you, I try to light a candle where I can.  The first thing to figure out, I figure, is how to unfollow or mute or even block twitter feeds I don't want to be bothered with.  Or by.  I have yet to know what the selling/merchandising rules may be.  How about... #IMadeThis as a theme for your beads and my crochet-works? And whatever else we get busy at?

Once I figure out how #tags work...

I have enough with the Blogit distraction - FB and Twitter I can do without...

Facebook's invaluable for great-grandbaby photos since the grandkids

live in California.  Not the same as warm goopy hugs, but I'll take what I can get.

I am on Face book but I hardly venture there, it is annoying to keep getting offers of friends that I do not know. They would probably not ask if they knew I was in my dotage.

It can be overwhelming

The negative posts, the anger, etc...

I try to post things that are funny or positive.  I consider that I have teenage nieces following me and hope I can set an example even in a small way for them that feeding into drama only creates more drama.

I am just figuring out Twitter.  I am working on my jewelry (beading) pieces and really have no desire to spend all my weekends working craft shows so I am going to try the oline route.  Now to just figure out marketing on these things without sounding like a used car salesman.
