Charlie will find his way in time, I can identify with him even at 78 I have memories of not fitting into jobs well for quite a long time. Trick I learned is after losing one I found another right away, no matter what it was. I finally found my way and so will your Charlie.

I agree with Charlie because I have been in jobs where I was completely miserable.  It never changed.  I eventually left the jobs and now later I reflect on it and wonder why I stayed with them so long?  Sure they trained him but if he is miserable he should give his 2 week notice and move on.  Having said that I will say also that he should line up another job before he gives notice...enough of my 2 cents

I wish Charlie well as he figures out his next step.

There is only one job that I could believe would be as difficult would be the now obsolite  door to door sales man job...

Yes he is grown up and has to swim in his own pool. Not easy for his Mama to watch but you are right, not worth fighting over.

Films, adverts, Disney jobs, musical gigs, fairs and shows and period shows....i really have no idea.

There's a certain rude shock that comes with every job, but a call

center would come mighty close to being the rudest of all... Seems like for them, there's no pleasing ANYone.

It is a bit of a hard call Ciel for a young person, one has to be pretty thick skinned  I would imagine. Are the humming birds about to skiddle addle, if that is still an expression.

Re: Naut,

I didn't know they chirped either, until this year.

As for call centers... This is supposed to be one of the better ones.

Ciel

I have never heard a hummer's chirping - this year I haven't even seen any, although our feeder is out there...

Too bad about Charlie's job, although it doesn't really surprise me. I once knew a chap who managed a call center, and he had some terrible tales to tell...
