Like I said... Bimbo Journalism.
I heard a narrator of a documentary refer to "statesmans" yesterday. Someone writes it... some else reads it... theoretically someone down the line approves it... like making sure the newcaster actually knows how to pronounce things... or has the sense and know-how to look up proper pronunciations, plurals and the difference between acres and miles.

One wishes these people would get their brains in gear whenh they're reading the news, LOL...As CCT suggests, she probably meant acres, which would be a bit more than 300 square miles - still a fair chunk of real estate...
