It is noisy here at night too but not right close to the house...i think that someone is going to have dinner at your pond sometime soon. Nature has her way of balancing things.

I love the sound, Pat. Grew up with the river at the foot of our hill, so they sang me to sleep evey night.

Let's hear it for (and from) the frogs! I have always enjoyed their choir whenever I heard it, which hasn't been the case much of late...Having plenty of frogs around is the sign of a healthy environment, and the opposite is also true...

With a chorus that big, maybe you can get rousing Ode to Joy out of them!

As a little kid in California, I used to go out to the irrigation ditches and try to catch tadpoles in a cup. Don't recall that I ever caught one and saw it through to frog-hood.
