Kabu

Continue having a great time! And I certainly hope they'll let you bring in your driftwood. Maybe you can convince them it's really an ancient boomerang...

I've read about several 'bans' by the airports, but I don't believe driftwood is amongst them. At least I don't think it is. You can always tell the screeners that you're an archeologist, and that it is really petrified dinosaur droppings. Believe me, no one is going to bother with it . . .

Just say it is a boomerang, no one will know any different.

I wish you well in getting the driftwood back to Canada.

I love driftwood too, with all its silver-coated ghosts.

Great to hear of your wonderful time with family. I think you must have taken a bit of Camelot North back to Oz with you.

Ah, yes... driftwood...

I sadly left the several nice pieces I picked up in NZ, along with a few other things, in the guest room in my daughter's house.

Well, when I was helping them unpack in DC, lo and behold! the packers had just wrapped everything in paper and stuffed it in the boxes! I got my driftwood back!

I adore pretty driftwood.  Your gnomes will love it too.
