Re: CCT,

Yes, it was quite a different time... though in the years I lived there, and came back there for visits, the woods went from thick seemingly endless, to barely a screen for the neighborhood that encroached on the other side.

Re: TAPS,

We would find all the old trails, and make some of our own.

Re: JimmyA,

I hope High Point is still beautiful, and those deep forested areas around the Delaware Water Gap.  People generally don't know that NJ has such lovely wild areas, they think it is all that charming stretch of refineries and oil haze, and that immense cemetery near Newark. Or the shore where those incredibly obnoxious 'reality' people hang out.

Well Ciel  I hope you would hold our hands. I think you were a rather daring young woman walking out there alone. Perhaps it was a different time. Goodness I've had a look and the memory is still there ,You should be wearing a hat it is spotting with rain, morning glory we call it.

Ciel

I love early mornings in the summer - in winter not so much, which is why I try and avoid them whenever possible, which isn't always the case, unfortunately...

Well, I'm still here in Jersey, and unfortunately, it looks as though many of those woodland areas are slowly but surely disappearing! We have to make room for all of those malls you know . . .
