Of course the rational thing to do would be to help others, but it takes something special to give away a cherish being and think in that way. One would imagine the anger beneath this situation would create ill feeling.

and yes dear friend. It is wonderful to watch Wiley as he sits over from me in his chair and coming up with some great work...for him and for us. and I am doing all and everything to encourage Wiley to keep going. He really is much better especially when he doesn't over do the physical. Nothing wrong with that brain thogh is my biggest joy...yours too I know.

when it came to nursing Kids in our hospital where I was working, I shed a lot of tears. Older folk are easier to nurse. WE have at least had a life, good or bad,,,we had a life. Little kids dying is so tough and something like this is almost impossible for the family to understand.

This is a very, very sad situation. But apparently little Jahi is brain dead which, as far as I know, is irreversible. But maybe I'm wrong...

Hospice provides such support.
But there are other issues, too, one of which I suspect is the mother's unwillingness to believe what authority tells her. She isn't a scientist, but she has lived in this society long enough to know that power lies, for it's own benefit, it's convenience.
It is tragic in every way.

It is heartbreaking for parents. They were so not ready for this. I guess we never are.
