I think you are right with some docs I think I would put a complaint with the doc that prescribed that drug

Yes I had a small cyst on the back of my head. the doctor said no one will notice you have a full head of hair. I said what if I go bald. she said it is nothing to worry about, I said you would not like it on your head. Once the doc would have just snipped it off. She gave me a dirty look and about a month later I was transferred to a new nice Doctor. I could cut the bloody thing off myself but I think my potato spell is working and it will shrink of its own accord. Next time I will tell you about piles. I mean mince piles I wonder why they are called mince meat pies. Tell Wiley I am glad he has still got his marbles.

I am glad

to hear that WIlesy seems to be improving.  And it is a good thing you have nature to connect with in all of this.

Be well

I am glad to read of Wiley's continued improvement...I always hate to see that clear, wet blanket of snow either get footprints or melt away...

You are so right about some Dr's wanting to get rid of patients who they consider "not important"  You should see what I have been going through trying to get my husband diagnosed properly... I had a very prominent Neurologist tell me "What is the difference which kind of dementia he has... they are all terminal"  The insensitive idiot!  and another Dr. refused to change a new medication that was giving him terrible side effects because "They were expensive and I had just gotten them and who cared if the poor guy was constantly in the bathroom... he did not know the difference"   Can you imagine???  Its so sad that those who are supposed to be in charge of us at our most vulnerable moments are not taught empathy and compassion  not to mention  bed side manners.  Thank G-d Wiley had you to look out for him.  You are his Angel :-)  Be well my friend  xoxoxo

My doctor has put me on several trial meds in the last year. She always tells me  after the first dose if I have any unusual behavior from them call her right away. She changed several things until she found she needed to change the blood pressure. I have been on the same for years with no problems. Suddenly it began to shoot up to 200/ and more. I called she gave me instructions to do this or that or go directly into the hospital. She finally did find one and directed it be taken twice daily instead of once and most of that has cleared up, but I have to watch everything for allergic reactions. I think the best thing you did was take Wiley to the hospital and say DO SOMETHING! NOW YOU BE SURE TO GET REST.

Nauticos

Obviously Wiley was over-medicated, and probably some of the drugs were interacting with each other as well - creating a devil's brew! I'm sooo glad that he's feeling better now...

Twenty-five or thirty years ago my mother-in-law was dizzy and ill,

having trouble with falling - the doc had doubled up on some blood pressure drugs and they had bad inter-actions. I know I'm a pain in the kiester to my doc, but I always try to talk him out of adding anything - I ask him if we can wait and see. My MIL also stopped taking the latest prescription after a big rigamarole, and she got much better in a couple weeks. You'd a thunk they'd learn better after all this time. Great news that Wiley's getting more like himself again.

I hope the nausea is over soon...glad to hear it was the med he no longer takes instead of something else...big hug to both of you

What a relief to hear Wiley is getting better

and that the cause has been pin-pointed.

I discovered a while back that doctors don't usually know anything about drugs. Pharmacists do, however, and they are the ones to check with on questions of drug and drug interactions.

I'd love to see your grouse!  Grouses...?  Grice?
