I do hope that they can find out what is wrong with Wiley, or at least not let him go home until they have exhausted all the avenues.  I know you miss him at home, but he is not doing well and I have afraid his being so unstable on his feet he could fall and break something.

This is obviously a mixture of both good and bad news. I can only hope and pray that Sir Wiley comes out of this better than before, and is home before you know it, ready to kick Mr. Graysome off of his chair once more! Be comforted. We're all with you . . .

All this seems to take "forever" as the wheels of progress turn,

but I really like the back to basics approach. Nine different meds could not avoid some kind of adverse side effects - heck, even grapefruit juice can mess things up. Several folks at the Senior Center have those walkers, they fold up so they can take them on the bus, and make them feel so much safer. It's like having a handrail to go up and down the steps. You don't "need" it, but putting a hand on it gives you a sense of balance and confidence.  Hope you honeymooners find yourselves all tucked in at home very soon.

Same old thing everywhere Kabu, but at least poor Wiley

is being monitored and  the Hospital guys usually give the local Doctors

a shake up. So I expect they will take more notice.

Perhaps a nurse will call in to keep an eye on him. You know what I mean Nursey.

 Keep the news coming.

I am happy to hear that Wiley is getting the attention he needs, and that he will soon enough be homw with you and Graysome...What can I do to help?

Oh I am so glad you have some people working on this. Perhaps just the difference in amount of meds will make a difference. If they don't take good care of him show up with Mr Graysome and tell them, "we go when he can go in good health". Kidding of course but this post made me happy to feel there is something being done. You are such a dear we are still praying for both of you, perhaps we should add Mr. Graysome.

Everything must be very upsetting for WileyJohn, and that in itself will up his BP.  It should be better for him when he is home again, home again, jiggety-jog.

KabuI

It's good to hear they suggested a walker, as I had, if you recall. It'll really make a difference - it'll be safer for Wiley and take a load off you as well...And I'm glad he'll be back tomorrow or Monday - it shows he's improving...

This is all good and hopeful news!

The walker with the wheels and a little fold out seat is what my mom was finally persuaded to get, a few years ago.  She will not have one of those electric, run-about chairs.  But the walker has saved her many a fall, and was well worth the expense.  It has allowed her to keep a high degree of independence, which has always been her top priority.  And without it, now, at 91, she'd have to be carried around, a loss of dignity, too.
